What we do

We start from the decision in front of you, the people doing the work, and the capacity you actually have. Then we provide focused, practical support that fits — whether you're launching something new, strengthening work underway, or getting a priority back on track.

01

Strategy & implementation

Strategic plans tied to owners, timelines and evidence — so the plan becomes the work, not a binder on a shelf.

02

Community engagement & facilitation

Retreats, listening sessions and working meetings that bring the right voices in early and leave with real decisions.

03

Leadership development

Coaching, thinking partnership and practical support for superintendents, cabinets and emerging leaders.

04

Data, systems & performance

Making sense of your data, aligning systems to your goals, and building routines that keep progress visible.

Our work in practice

Our ongoing partnership with Mineral County School District in rural Nevada connects district strategy, instructional leadership, and practical systems for supporting students. Here are three dimensions of that work.

Strategic planning

From improvement plans to ongoing action

We worked alongside district and school leaders to align improvement plans around shared priorities, specific actions, and evidence of progress. Recurring leadership conversations keep those plans connected to implementation, emerging needs, and next steps — with steady attention to student success, adult learning, and connectedness.

Instructional leadership

Connecting professional learning and classroom practice

With district leaders, we developed a shared instructional focus and a practical PLC inquiry cycle connecting lesson planning, student work, and instructional adjustments. Leadership workshops, principal coaching, and collaborative classroom visits help leaders support that work across schools.

Attendance

Making attendance data useful

We developed an attendance dashboard and action log to help staff identify students needing support, examine patterns, and organize follow-through. The work connects the district's attendance priorities with practical tools for school-level review and response.

Jason and Jenni take the time to understand our district and work alongside our team. They help us connect our improvement plans, leadership development, and day-to-day work so those efforts reinforce one another. They bring practical tools, thoughtful questions, and ongoing support that help us turn priorities into action.

Focused engagements for leaders

Most of our work is shaped around your context. When a defined starting point helps, we offer three structured engagements: one to get clear on where a priority stands, one to move a priority forward with your team, and one to support you as a leader.

Diagnostic · A first step

See where a priority stands

A clear look at a priority — new, underway or off track — to see what's working, what's in the way, and the best next move.

Best when you want clarity before committing to a larger effort.

The Sightline

90 days · Hands-on with your team

Move a priority forward

Two senior partners work inside your team on one priority — planning, building, facilitating and following through alongside your people — while building their capacity to carry it on.

Best when an important initiative needs more capacity and momentum.

The Clearing

90 days · Alongside you and your senior team

Strengthen how you lead

A strategic partnership focused on the decisions in front of you — thinking partnership, coaching, and support for your senior team as you set direction and lead change.

Best when you're leading through a major decision, transition or change.

Why seven generations

We take our name from the Seventh Generation Principle, a Native philosophy that asks us to weigh how today's decisions will affect people seven generations from now.

In practice, that means plans built with the people who will carry them, systems a team can sustain, and honest attention to who benefits and who carries the work.

Listen first

Communities and staff usually know where the real opportunities and obstacles are. We start there.

Build with, not for

Your people shape the work, so they own it.

Plan for what lasts

We design for the staffing, time and budget you actually have.

Plan past the plan

Owners, routines and follow-through are part of the work from the start.

Working on something important?

Whether you're planning something new or strengthening work already underway, start with a conversation. Tell us what you're working on, and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit.
